24 March 2010 - for Art and Design courses
Deadline for receipt at UCAS of all applications, including the reference, for some art and design courses except those listed with a 15 January deadline.

Late Applications for Art and Design courses - 25 March to 11 June 2009
Applications received between these dates are Late Applications. Universities and colleges will consider you if you want to make more offers.

30 June 2010
Applications received after 30 June are entered in Clearing.

Clearing are UCAS services that can help you, without an offer of a place, to continue your
application to find a suitable higher education course.

EXTRA - If applicant has used all five choices and is holding no offers, another choice can be made through Extra.

All is not lost if you have been unsuccessful or decline offers from all five of your choices. We encourage you to use the Extra process. You do not have to wait until Clearing to apply for more courses.

If you originally have applied for high-demand courses, you could consider applying for courses in related or alternative subjects.

The Extra process is a way of applying to further universities or colleges without having to wait for Clearing. Applicants who have already made five choices, received decisions from all these choices and who have declined any offers received can use Extra to apply for other courses that still have vacancies. You can apply for several courses in Extra, but you can only apply for one course at a time.

The Extra process operates from late February to the end of June 2010.
Use Course Search at www.ucas.com to find out which courses are advertising vacancies in Extra. You need to confirm direct with the university or college whether they can consider you before making your applications on the Track service at www.ucas.com or by calling the Customer Service Unit.

From October 2009 until 30 June 2010, you will be notified when you become eligible to use Extra.

Applicants can apply for courses in Extra from
late February to mid-July 2010 using a special button that appears on Track.

All the best of luck!
