Karnival Kerjaya 2009 / Career Carnival 2009

Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Jabatan Buruh akan mengadakan karnival kerjaya pada 28hb April hingga 3hb Mei 2009 di Pusat Persidangan Antarabangsa. Ianya bermula pada pukul 8 pagi sehingga 5 petang. Karnival ini dibuka kepada orang ramai.

Please be informed that the Labour Department will be holding a career carnival from 28th April to 3rd May 2009 at ICC, Berakas. It starts from 8 am to 5 pm. This carnival is open to public.

Tawaran Kursus Perubatan Bagi Pelajar-pelajar Antarabangsa di Institusi-institusi di Republik Rakyat China Sesi 2009/2010

Dengan segala hormat sukacita saya merujuk memorandum Penolong Pengarah (Menengah), Bahagian Pendidikan Menengah, Jabatan Sekolah-sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam Bil. KP/M/N(D) bertarikh 4 Rabilakhir ,1430 / 31 Mac 009 dan salinan surat Kedutaan Besar Negara Brunei Darussalam di Republik Rakyat China rujukan BEB:4/2/8 bertarikh 19 Februari 2009 mengenai perkaradi atas.

Sehubungan dengan itu sukacita saya memetik dan memaklumkan senarai Institusi dan penempatan kemasukan bagi mahasiswa antarabangsa dalam bidang Pendidikan Perubatan klinikal dalam Bahasa Inggeris sesi 2009/2010 saperti surat Jiao Wai Zhao yang di terjemahkan oleh pihak kedutaan.

The Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China presents its compliments to the Embassy of Brune Darussalam in Beijing and has the honour to inform as follows, with reference to the Name List of Institutions and List Enrollment Placements for Undergraduate Clinical Medical Education in English for International Students 2009/2010.

According to the 3oth Article of the Interim Provisions for Quality Control Standard on Undergraduates Medical Education in English for International Students in China ( The Interim Provisions was sent to the esteemed Embassy last year), the Ministry of Education has designated enrollment placements for 2009/2010 for 28 institutions. Institution that are not mentioned in the list will not be allowed to enrol international students for the undergraduate clinical or oral medical in English. The name list of Instituions and list of enrollment placements may be downloaded from website (www.studyinchina.edu.cn).

The Departmen of International cooperation and Exhanges seeks the kind assistance of the esteemed Embassy to convey the above-mentioned information to the relevant Department in charge of dispatching students to overseas institutions and medical administration sectors in the esteemed country.

Are you interested to study in United States of America?

If you read today's Borneo Bulletin (dated 25th March 2009), there is a 'shoutout' for students who are interested for further studies in overseas. Many of you plan to study in UK and Australia after completing your A level. How about study in America for a change?

The paper noted that according to Times Higher Education, more than 2/3 of the world's top universities are found in the USA for 2008's ranking. Check it out yourself and you will be surprised! It is true that universities in the USA are unfamiliar to us. It does not even occurred to us on wanting to study there especially with the September 11th incident. A Bruneian student, Zul Fakhri Maidy, who is currently taking his Masters of Arts in Journalism in Columbia under Fulbright Scholarship, said that the people there are actually very warm, welcoming and friendly. The paper reported more about Zul's life studying in the USA.

A video conference of Zul Fakhri joined by a group of panel was held at the US Embassy in Brunei and interestingly, some of those who attended the conference were of MOE Accredited Officers. With that said, it may be possible that there will be a number of universities in USA to be accredited by the Scholarship department in MOE. Why waste that good opportunity? We will update you regarding this matter when they get the accreditation sorted out.

Since studying in the USA is considered new to us, there may be concerns and doubts. So if you do consider to study in the America, you are advised to contact the US Embassy for further details.
